Nick Moore, B.Sc.
senior Biologist, Project manager
Mr. Moore is a senior aquatic biologist with experience supporting fisheries assessments, aquatic monitoring, and environmental reporting for resource development, infrastructure, and hydroelectric projects. His expertise includes fish community sampling, species at risk monitoring, baseline fisheries and limnological studies, and aquatic habitat characterization. He has supported environmental monitoring and assessment programs for hydroelectric generating station upgrades and replacements, including entrainment and impingement risk assessments, bathymetric surveys, and spawning habitat suitability modelling to inform design and mitigation planning. His entrainment studies combine hydraulic and fish-behaviour modelling to generate predicted entrainment rates, followed by targeted intake monitoring to verify those predictions and inform mitigation and offsetting requirements. Mr. Moore also brings strong fisheries field experience, including Arctic Char migration assessments using PIT tagging, Lake Sturgeon and Walleye spawning habitat studies, and fish rescue operations associated with in-water works and dewatering. He provides reliable field leadership and clear technical reporting support for aquatic monitoring and fisheries assessment projects.
