METAL & DIAMOND MINING

We frequently carry out research, routine monitoring and general inventories in support of baseline studies, ongoing operations and closure studies for mining clients. Our consultants have extensive experience with projects in both urban and remote locations. Clients turn to us for help meeting their environmental stewardship objectives, protecting human health and exceeding regulatory requirements.

We have worked with mines across Canada including in BC (coal), Saskatchewan (uranium), Ontario (copper, nickel, gold), Quebec (exploratory uranium), Northwest Territories (gold, diamonds) and Nunavut (gold). Much of our work directly for mines has included environmental effects monitoring, a discipline in which we are technical leaders. We also carry out routine monitoring in support of sites that are in ‘care and maintenance’, including water quality and biological inventories. We also frequently work for government agencies and non-government agencies in providing third-party peer review of study designs and submissions, policy review, or general guidance on state of the science with regards to assessment of environmental condition.
